I promise that we will not be spamming with too many updates on this newsletter; however, I did want to let everyone know that Terrorcore Publishing has started an official Discord page. This page will allow for more conversation around the submission calls. In addition, it will make it possible for Horror Indie Authors to unite and discuss all things related to horror. We will share external submission calls we stumble across there as well.
I envision this being a place where writers, publishers, and editors can come together. There will be separate channels for each submission call from us, as well as private groups for those calls’ accepted authors, as well as channels for editors and proofreaders, etc.
When you join, you will be presented with an option to select whether you are an “Author” or a “Publisher”. This will open up the individual rooms for you.
After that, you will be able to join and talk on any of the channels.
Currently, not much is going on there because it is brand new and has a handful of the contributors from the first Doors of Darkness in it. Feel free to join and start conversing and sharing. I know I am always on the lookout for more submission calls to inspire my own writing. Help us grow to a bigger community with more engagement than what can be offered on Instagram and other social media sites.
If you’re not familiar with Discord, it is a nice place to engage where conversations are divided by categories and subcategories. This allows for more organization in the conversation. More information how to use discord can be found here.
